Trauma-Informed Counselling | Mental Health Support | Expressive Arts Workshops
My work is grounded in a compassionate, creative and evidence-based framework and in the belief that every person has inherent worth and deserves to be met with kindness and respect. It is also guided by a deep appreciation for the complexity of human experience and the humility to recognise that we do not always have the answers. Many times, meaning-making emerges not through certainty, but through a willingness to show up for ourselves, even when what lies behind feels fragmented and what lies ahead, uncertain and scary.
Rather than asking, “What’s wrong with me?”, we begin exploring, “What happened to me?” and “What experiences may have taught me to see myself this way?” Sometimes this process brings meaningful answers and new understanding. At other times, the answers remain incomplete or unknown. Learning to hold and make space for the unknown can itself become an important part of the healing process.
Some answers emerge, some don't. We can still move forward intentionally toward what matters. With this in mind, I weave together cognitive, body-based and creative modalities that honour the richness and uniqueness of our lived experiences, our stories of resilience and vulnerability, inviting greater curiosity, exploration and integration.

The Language of
Play and Creativity
Children naturally make sense of themselves and the world through imagination, creativity, symbolism and play long before they can fully articulate their inner experiences through words. Rather than asking children to explain themselves, creative and play-based activities invite exploration and expression. Children often move fluidly between imagination and meaning-making, expressing emotions, experiences and ideas that might be difficult, or even impossible to capture through conversation alone.
